Over 60,000 “Got-Aways” in March, 6 Month Total Nears Half-Million

According to a recent Border Patrol report seen by Breitbart Texas, there have been over 400,000 alien gotaways during the first six months of fiscal year 2023; the report shows over 60,000 alien gotaways just in the month of March alone.

Breitbart Texas was the first to review the unofficial Border Patrol report showing the jaw-dropping number of alien gotaways, or illegal aliens known to have crossed the border between ports of entry but ultimately evaded capture by immigration authorities.

For context, the report explains that the number of known gotaways jumped from approximately 51,000 in February to more than 60,000 in March. In total, 2023’s gotaways total is already more than 100,000 more than the same period in 2022 (Oct.-March).

Breitbart News reports,

The Tucson Sector reported the highest number of gotaways. The nearly 18,000 gotaways represent a small increase over last March’s report. El Paso also leads the year-to-date numbers with more than 106,000 estimated known gotaways.

This is followed by the El Paso Sector (just over 15,000) and the Del Rio Sector (nearly 11,000). El Paso leads the year-to-date got-away numbers with more than 122,000 estimated known got-aways.

Unofficial reporting shows that 161,000 illegal aliens were encountered crossing the border last month, which, combined with the reported 60,000 gotaways, brings the total number of known border crossers to 221,000 for the month of March.
