The New York Times Smears Movement for Lower Immigration, but Compliments NumbersUSA

By James Robb, Thursday, April 21, 2011, 12:11 PM EST

Last Sunday the New York Times went after the whole immigration restriction movement with a page 1 attack article that went on to fill an entire inside page. Massively long, and mostly aimed at knocking early immigration restriction leader John Tanton for some private letters he wrote decades ago, the article also spends a good deal of ink in discussing NumbersUSA and our founder Roy Beck.

Political Upheaval In States Over Spending -- Congress Could Help By Reducing Immigration

By James Robb, Thursday, February 24, 2011, 5:29 PM EST

What a political season we're living in! Overseas, the entire Middle East is exploding into revolution. We can only hope it leads to an improvement. And now right here in the U.S., state capitals are erupting in rancorous divisions over how to deal with huge budget shortfalls. At first blush, it looks like the issue of immigration doesn't figure that high with all the budget upheavals and foreign government changes, but keep reading . . .

This may be your last chance to fight an amnesty (cross your fingers!)

By James Robb, Monday, November 15, 2010, 5:18 PM EST

With the defeat of so many pro-Amnesty Members of Congress on election night, I thought we'd heard the last of amnesties for awhile. Didn't you? Unfortunately, we have one more pretty steep mountain to climb as soon as Congress comes back from Thanksgiving.

In our new survey, 99% of our members oppose birthright citizenship

By James Robb, Updated Monday, August 23, 2010, 9:02 AM EST

I've been with NumbersUSA for all of our 14 years. One of my jobs is to send regular emails summarizing the latest on our political struggle, while also asking members to donate. (Thanks for reading my letters and helping with the funding. This entire website, including our faxing capability and Congressional gradecards, is supported by small donations from you members.)

The Arizona Fever

By James Robb, Updated Friday, May 14, 2010, 5:01 PM EST

Yesterday, the respected Pew Research Center released a new poll showing Americans are backing Arizona's recently passed immigration enforcement bill, SB 1070, by huge margins. According to the poll, seventy-three percent of Americans agree with "requiring people to produce documents verifying their legal status if police ask for them.”

Why I'm thankful for America, and what NumbersUSA is doing to protect what we're thankful for!

By James Robb, Wednesday, November 25, 2009, 12:47 PM EST

All of us at NumbersUSA can easily become focused on what's wrong with America. We believe immigration numbers are way too high and that illegal immigration is ruinous to the country.

More of your Emails on Illegal Immigration and the Quality of Life

By James Robb, Monday, October 5, 2009, 5:04 PM EST

Hello, NumbersUSA members. Jim here. I've been reading through (and answering) emails you’ve sent me lately. Many members have shared heartbreaking and hair raising tales of out-of-control immigration. Especially illegal immigration. Thought I'd share a few of the 100–200 emails members send me every week. From the "everything’s broken" department:

Sounds like a job a 67 year-old American WILL do!

By James Robb, Thursday, July 2, 2009, 2:51 PM EST

One small favor from this disastrous recession: slightly fewer reporters are mindlessly scribbling down the phrase, "jobs Americans won't do." Over four hundred NumbersUSA members wrote to me personally after my latest fundraising email. About 275 of them are unemployed. You wouldn't believe all the jobs that they used to do and would very much like to do again.

How NumbersUSA Gives Jobless Americans a Voice in Pleading Their Case

By James Robb, Monday, June 29, 2009, 1:22 PM EST

Last Tuesday, I wrote our members asking for donations so we can continue our faxing operation. For the very first time, I thought to put in an email address, so members could contact me directly. Scores wrote, including many who are unemployed and on the edge financially. Take this stirring message from Frances:   I want to thank you (NumbersUSA) for giving regular Americans the ability to participate in our government via your website, especially at this critical time in our American history.

We must move fast to stop Sens. Reid and Durbin, now that they have revealed their amnesty plans for this year

By James Robb, Monday, March 30, 2009, 10:23 AM EST

Late last week the Open Borders coalition, in and out of Congress, revealed their plans to push through two major amnesties this year. Now is our chance to stop them.
